Whitehurst Half Plate Daguerreotype in a thermoplastic frame

Description

This isn't the greatest condition item, but it's a nice half plate Whitehurst daguerreotype of an older woman.  The plate isn't perfect as it had no preserver to prevent damage.  The frame it came in also has a bad crack and needs to be glued or taped to stabilize.  Still a decent half plate with a couple dings, but no heavy scratches or mat abrasions.  I have taped the daguerreotype with a few pieces of archival tape just to prevent it from slipping.  The buyer needs to reseal the daguerreotype.
