    Description

    Very early 1/4 pl daguerreotype. Circa 1840. Leather case with green silk pad. Plate is in good condition. No scratches or dings. I have not removed the plate to check for seals. I am guessing the seals are partially in place. There is a small piece of the seal tissue floating. See last photo.
