From
Union Cases
: "From the book of Genesis (XXXVI: 1-11) in the Old Testament comes the story of Rebekah. While drawing water from a well near her home in Nahor (Mesopotamia), Rebekah was approached by a servant of Abraham. The servant, who was on a very special mission, asked if he might drink from Rebekah's pitcher. She granted this request and also drew water for the servant's camel. The servant had prayed to God for this very signal: to show him a woman generous and worthy enough to marry his master's son, Isaac."
