Very strong spine and latch. Case closes perfectly. Very well preserved over the last 170+ years. Judge for yourself by pics. Very slight toning/oxidation around edges of portrait. Shipped in a strong, sturdy Priority Mail box. Utmost care will be taken in packaging! Photo was never taken out of case. I don't know about the seals. Shipped same day as payment clears.
